Use the pegs in the Pegboard & Pegs in case to make the patterns shown on the flyer but children can create their own designs. There are so many enrichment activities with this fun board.
– create a peg pattern on the top line – ask to copy the pattern below this top line.
– create a pattern using 4 pegs, the child needs to continue the pattern, making sure same size pegs and colours are used.
– create a shape eg a square : How many pegs were used? Can you make another square.
Then make the same pattern on the pegboard.
Once again, you may ask questions to further develop understanding, eg
* What shape do you see?
* How many pegs did you use?
